Peanut Butter Kisses

 

makes 3 dozen

 

 

Ingredients 

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 dozen chocolate kisses

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375°F

Cream sugar, brown sugar peanut butter, butter, shortening and egg together in a mixer. Stir in the rest except the kisses. Roll into 1” balls and roll them in sugar. Place 2” apart on a ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 – 10 minutes. Press kisses into cookies after they come out. Cool.
